A native of eastern France, Annick Burger is impassioned by music and very early on realized that song and singing, in becoming her reason to live, were to make her an extraordinary and exceptional artist. A totally professional workaholic, her character reveals a mixture of mystery, surprise and tenderness : A personality which she has forged since her early childhood.
Her ties with music began with accordion lessons when she was just five years old. Investing all her energy to achieve her goal, she was accepted by the « Conservatoire de STRASBOURG » following the entry competition for singing at the age of sixteen. There she followed the classical singing program and obtained her university diploma in musicology.
Always ready to venture to new horizons she has many different strings to her bow. With her enormous vocal range and her incessant love for all facets of the musical universe she is able to embrace not only opera but jazz or french and international variety.
It is certainly this subtle and eclectic mastering of her art and thus her privileged relationship with her public which makes her a particularly sought after artist.
Asked by Cyril Monnier from France Bleu to take part in his radio show « Ma Premiere Chance» she was offered the occasion to present her own compositions; compositions which she was able to include in her own show staged at a theatre in Strasbourg itself.
The Royal Palace in KIRRWILLER gave her the chance to perform, as did the organizers of « La Foire aux Vins » in COLMAR where she opened the 2016 inauguration. She is perfectly capable of adapting her performances to comply with the desires of her public and with her perfect command of not only french, but also german, italian, spanish, portugese and even russian or chinese was able to perform a recital for voice and piano at the « European Parliament » during the prestigious « Docks d’Eté » in STRASBOURG.
This large linguistic opening enables her to become a regular guest for events outside the french frontiers. Her live lyrical performances have been recorded by german television, she has performed in MOSCOW and on the COSTA BRAVA and for the last fifteen years has performed as a soloist at the famous « Europa Park » again putting to use her incredible linguistic talent in the numerous shows staged by the park.
She has thus performed under the direction of Francis Demarteau for « Holiday on Ice », for a show presented by the « Cirque Bouglione »in which she sang the role of Madam Loyal.
Finally she has also performed with such artists as Aloe Black, Marcus Miller, Billy Cobham during the wonderful festival « Jazzablanca » at CASABLANCA.
Annick is buzzing with projects amongst which are the creation of an album brimming with influences from all sides and inevitably with her own off-track touch, her personal trademark no frontiers.
